Please see the two rate pages: Houston Airports to/from and Cruises Passengers to/from Port of Galveston, etc. or ask for a quote over the phone. You may also receive a quote once you send in your itinerary. Credit cards are charged the day before each trip. Customers should not pay drivers cash unless approved by Administration. They are not responsible for company accounting.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I TIP?
Tips are not included in the price of the trips. Please consider tipping the drivers 10-15% if they are on time and provide good service to you. Tips may be given at the end of the trip in cash or can be added to your trip in advance when making your reservation.
ARE THERE ANY EXTRA FEES?
Extra fees apply when extra services are requested like child car seats and boosters for $10 each, extra stops along the trip at $10 each (15 min), and additional wait times more than one hour. Reservation prices are quoted as if you are ready at the time of your reservation. Consideration is given for issues out of your control like weather, customs, and security issues, etc. Please give us a call if you are going to be delayed and keep in touch with us until we meet you.
WHAT IF MY FLIGHT IS DELAYED?
Please call or text if your flight is going to be more than 1 hour late or if your flight number changes or you miss your flight. This is so that we can track your whereabouts. Our drivers are checking all flights ETA (for delays or early arrivals). We cannot track you if we do not have your correct flight number. Please have your cell phone turned on so that we can contact you if needed.
HOW DO I FIND MY DRIVER AT THE AIRPORT?
Your driver will be waiting inside the airport on the Baggage Claim ground level in baggage claim and will be holding a sign with your name on it. The driver may be in the main greeting area or will meet you at your luggage carousel. Our “meet and greet” is a standard service for our customers here in Houston. If you are unable to locate your chauffeur, please call the company dispatch at (832) 896-1748 so that they can help you locate each other. Do not leave the airport without calling dispatch or you will be charged for no show. We always help our customers with their luggage.
IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL A RESERVATION, WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
You must notify Susan Hunter (Owner) if you wish to cancel your transportation via phone to 832-896-1748. There is no cancellation fee if the cancellation is made within 24 hours before your trip. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your reservation will be charged 25% of the trip cost. Trips cancelled the day of the trip may be charged at 100%. No shows will be charged in full – 100%. (Drivers going to the airport need to be paid for no shows.)
DOES YOUR COMPANY PROVIDE CHILD OR BOOSTER SEATS?
Yes, we do provide rear-facing car seats (infants to 2 years old) and forward-facing car seats (age 2-4 years) and booster seats (4-8 years) upon request. There is a minimal $10 charge, so please ask in advance if they will be available for your trip.
HOW CAN I GET A RECEIPT?
A receipt can be emailed based upon request.
WHAT IS THE BEST RESERVATION TIME AND PICKUP PROCEDURE AT THE PORT OF GALVESTON?
s (The most requested pick up time, at the Port of Galveston, is 8:30 to 10 am. The cruise ships normally dock around 7:30 am or earlier. Disembarkment usually begins 1 hour after docking (8 am at earliest and 8:30 am for those beginning to disembark in the first group. Disbursements can be quicker if you take your own luggage off the ship. Some ships are slower to disembark than others and may have customs lines and issues. Canadians are usually placed in the International line which takes quite a bit longer than US lines. We realize some of you may have early flights, and there should be no problems if you are off the ship in time to make it to the airports. Hobby (30-40 minutes) Bush IAH (60-75 minutes). Getting into the Port area can take time as the area is small and traffic gets backed up taking an additional 10-15 minutes to pick you up. The quicker you can call us the quicker we can get to you.
We provide 1 hour wait time free of charge at the Port (from appt. time), after that, we charge $30 per hour wait time. We usually can not arrive earlier at the Port as our offices are in Houston and we are about 1 hour to 1.5 hours from the Port. You may be waiting at the Port for an hour or so for pick up if you get off the ship early. There is a Starbucks across from the Port and you can wait there if you like. Also, the Tremont Hotel (a few blocks from the Port) serves coffee and usually will store your luggage if you wish to stay on the island a few hours after your disembark. We can pick you up at most locations on the island. However usually not directly across from the port. Flights leaving Houston are usually either before noon or later in the evening.
Please keep in mind that we are 1.5 hours from the port and therefore it is difficult to move your time up or change the time of day of your trip. We have numerous clients each Saturday and Sunday and usually follow the established schedule made a reservation time. We will try to accommodate your request for earlier times, but this is not guaranteed due to the distance and number of clients.
Please turn on your cell phone as soon as you can upon docking in Galveston. The driver will have your phone number and may call for your disembarkment status. Once you are off the ship, please call the driver and provide your location (see letters hanging off the building) at the terminal so that the driver will be able to find you and your group. Terminal A (letters A – H) and Terminal B (letters M – ?). It is better to wait towards the end of the building for pickups as drop-offs usually occur at the beginning of the building. The new RCCL Terminal has numbers 1-6 for drop offs (front of building) and 7-15 for pick ups (side of building).
Definitely contact the main office at 832-896-1748 (Susan) and your driver if you will be late with your disembarkment. It will be difficult to contact you if you do not have your telephone on. Please make sure to charge your phone before disembarking and if you need to use another phone, it may be hard to reach you. As long as you keep your driver in the loop you should have no problems.
